Dr. Shadia Koury, D.C., D.A.C.C.P.
Dr. Koury graduated from the Los Angeles College of Chiropractic in 1999 and
has over 360 hours of post-graduate education in the areas of pre-natal and
pediatric care. She is the first and only Chiropractor in Nevada to become a
Diplomate in the Council of Chiropractic Pediatrics in the Academy of Chiropractic
Family Practice. Dr. Koury became certified in the Webster's Technique for
In-Utero constaint in 1999. She has hands on experience with adjusting women
throughout pregnancy, during labor and adjusting infants within the first hour of
life. She herself benefited from pre-natal Chiropractic care during her 2
pregnancies and realizes how essential it is for a healthy, natural, easy and joyful
pregnancy and delivery. She has two beautiful children, Laith and Layla. Both
born underwater at home and with the aid of the power of Chiropractic.

Amy wears a couple of hats at Chiropractic For Life. She is Dr. Koury’s assistant
Continuing Education instructor for Massage Therapists and Bodyworkers and
Continuing Education instructor for Massage Therapists and Bodyworkers and
the Nevada State Board of Nursing. A proud New Yorker, she has been living in
Las Vegas since 1997. She enjoys spending time with her hubby, Rob, and their
12 year old Border Collie, Laddie (who also LOVES Reiki)!

Mandie Medford took over HypnoBirthing ® Las Vegas in June of 2009.
HypnoBirthing Las Vegas has been serving expectant families in Las Vegas
since 2003 and was featured on channel 3 KVBC and in the Las Vegas Review
Journal. Mandie Medford received her BA in elementary education from UNLV in
2006 and was a first grade teacher for 2 years. After becoming pregnant with her
daughter Makenzie in 2007, she took HypnoBirthing from Anne Swanson, founder
of HBLV. Mandie’s passion for the HypnoBirthing method, combined with her
skills as an experienced teacher make for a wonderful, fulfilling and dynamic
childbirth education course. This course gives expectant mothers and their birth
companions all of the skills and tools that they will need to experience the birth of

Marcie is a birth junkie! She loves all aspects of birth. She loves being a part of
all the stages, from "I think I'd like to have a baby"...to placenta encapsulation
(working for Placenta Benefits.info). She has been a massage therapist for
several years and is certified in pre-natal, craniosacral therapy, mayan
abdominal massage as well as most other modalities. Marcie brings a wealth
of knowledge and experience to her practice as a doula. Inspired by the births of
her granddaughters not being the kind of birthing experience she thought her
daughters deserved, she became a doula to help give her family the best birth
experience possible. Friends and others soon followed and she is thrilled to be
a part of many birth experiences both hospital and home births. Being an
advocate for mothers, fathers and new little ones during the birthing experience
is one of her most favorite things and among her most cherished life
