Jingle Jams
What happens at Jingle Jams?
Jingle Jams offers a creative environment for children and
their caregivers to have fun together, be entertained and
learn some stuff too! There will be up to fifteen children in
each session with a parent or caregiver and one session leader.
Each forty five minute class includes some movement, singing,
drama and instrument playing. We aim to give the children as
many opportunities as possible to express themselves through
their bodies and voices and through a variety of percussion
instruments, costumes and props.
The material used is a mixture of traditional and original
music which allows the children to express their creativity
and channel their energy through the wonderful world of
music. Within this secure framework your child will learn to
grow through the repetition, choice and positive
encouragement that enrich each session.
Who is your session leader?
Sandee McDuffie has been a music and theater professional
for the past twenty years, having graduated from London's
Mountview Theater School. Her experience with children
comes from her performance in a variety of children's theater
productions and from her three years as a session leader for a
children's music program in London. During this time she also
had the opportunity to work with under-privileged children
and children with autism. Since moving to Las Vegas over four
years ago Sandee has worked extensively in the Clark County
school district as Professor Vortex Viv for the award winning
Mad Science program. In 2009 Sandee is excited to be
starting a new non-credit class at CSN - Kids Theater
Workshop for ages 8-12, meanwhile she continues her
successful career in Las Vegas as a singer, actor and
voice-over artist.
Sandee is Mom to little Cameron and is thrilled to be
combining her love of music and theater with her love for
children by creating Jingle Jams (for which Cameron has been
a great inspiration, and critic!). All the original music for
Jingle Jams is written and produced by Sandee and her
talented husband David.
